Tatiana, a former event planner for fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg, first met Nikolaos in 2003 while on a skiing holiday. The couple dated for seven years before announcing their engagement on 28 December 2009.
The wedding took place at the Cathedral of Ayios Nikolaos on the island of Spetses, three hours away from Athens, on 25 August 2010 and it was attended by most of Europe’s royalty despite the fact the Greek family are in exile.
The bride, who arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, was wearing a gown from Angel Sanchez, a Venezuelan designer based in New York. The strapless dress, made from layers of French Chantilly lace, had a fitted bodice and a sweeping train. During the ceremony, Tatiana wore a matching lace bolero which she removed for the reception.
Tatiana also wore the Antique Corsage Tiara, on loan from Queen Anne-Marie, to keep her lace veil in place.
